Welcome to ESL Speak Well! I’m your dedicated English tutor, specializing in helping Italian speakers improve their English through conversational practice, travel English, interview preparation, and proofreading.

I’m currently living in Italy while studying Italian myself, which gives me valuable insight into the nuances between our languages. This experience helps me make my lessons both effective and relatable for my students.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga and Pilates, and I love spending time with my dog, Stevie!
My Story
My love for Italian began during my second year at Loyola Marymount University, when I took an Italian 1 class to fulfill a core requirement. The passion my professor had for the language and culture inspired me not only to continue studying Italian, but also to become a teacher myself.

Before my final year of college, I earned my Cambridge CELTA certification to teach English and began working on Preply, connecting with students from all over the world while finishing my degree. When I graduated in May 2025, I launched ESL Speak Well, my own tutoring business, so I could specialize in working with Italian speakers while continuing my Italian language studies here in Italy.

One of my favorite parts of working online as an English tutor is the connections I get to make. I’m constantly learning about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives through my students. As a language learner myself, I know how overwhelming the process can sometimes feel. That’s why I care deeply about tailoring each lesson to my students’ interests and goals—I truly believe that’s the best way to learn a language.
